Boston Celtics can be termed as the best defense basketball team originating from Boston, Massachusetts. The usually playing field for the Celtics is the Atlantic Division in the National Basket Ball Association of USA. The team history dates back to 1946 and the current owners of this basketball team are the Boston Basketball Partners LLC presided over by the legendary Danny Aige. Boston Celtics is perhaps the only national level basketball team that was able to grab 11 championship titles in 13 years. The home games of this team are usually played at the historic TD Gardens. The recent times for the Celtics haven’t been the most favorable and productive. After signing up Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Daniels, it was a general perception that all good will befall on this team. But as fate had it, the winning combination wasn’t able to click in the last season and plaguing injuries of key players like Garnett and Pierce eradicated any championship hopes. Celtics did play NBA 2010 final games against LA, but lost in the championship final 7. It was highly rumored that Doc Rivers, Boston Celtics coach, will resign from the designation but recent reports bust this myth as he affirms to stick with Celtics for NBA 2010-2011 season. Now it seems as if the Celtics are really serious about winning the next NBA season. They are currently in the process of making some star acquisitions to make their line-up more and more immortal. The surprise actually came when Marquis Daniels decided to stick to the Boston Celtic camp as he signed the 2. 5 Million USD contract for the next season. There were some speculations that Daniel might leave the Celtics but all of them proved to be wrong. Nate Robinson also got won over by the Celtics and he recently arrived in Boston with a commitment to lead his new team to victory. According to his recent press statement, Nate was surprised but happy over Boston Celtic’s hardcore motto to just win. Same is the case with Avery Bradley who just can’t wait to dunk although he went through a painful ankle surgery recently. It is pretty evident that Boston Celtics will unleash a winning combination against their rivals in the season. There are also rumors that veteran Shaquille O’Neil is also lobbying to get himself a Celtics green shirt. According to Shaq, Boston Celtics will be in a much better position to clinch the championship in case he is chosen for the team. There is no official Celtics statement accepting or denying Shaq’s inculcation within the team but if this happens, Celtics can seriously give their competitors a long run for their money. All in all, all the Celtics fans will be dying to see their favorites in action soon.

BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team Takes Lead in ALMS GT Manufacturer’s Championship

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – July 12, 2010… With second- and fourth-place GT class finishes in yesterday’s Utah Grand Prix, the BMW Rahal Letterman Racing Team has raced BMW to the top of the GT Manufacturer point standings after four rounds of competition in the 2010 American Le Mans Series.

Bill Auberlen and Tommy Milner, co-driving the No. 92 M3 GT, finished 14 seconds behind the winner in the two-hour-and-forty-five-minute contest, continuing this season’s BMW-RLR podium streak. Joey Hand and Dirk Müller finished fourth in the No. 90 M3 GT, losing a third-place finish in the closing minutes of the race, as a damaged exhaust reduced the BMW’s power.

Auberlen and Milner’s third podium finish of the year leapfrogs them ahead of teammates Hand and Müller to third in GT driver points. Hand and Müller stand fourth.
